Level 2/3 SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary (Romford) Location: Romford Contract: Full-time / Part-time Start Date: ASAP

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Romford is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive in the classroom.

About the role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the primary age range—either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups—ensuring their individual needs are met and they can access learning successfully. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver high-quality, nurturing support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs)

Assist with personalised learning activities and targeted interventions

Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills

Work collaboratively with staff to adapt resources and strategies

Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures

What we’re looking for:

Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)

Previous experience working with children with additional needs in a primary setting
