We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking a Legal Team Leader to join their Newcastle Legal Services Team. You will play a pivotal role in leading and developing a large paralegal team, combining operational management, mentorship, and strategic input, while also contributing to client relationships, legal innovation, and business development initiatives across a global network. What you'll be doing:

Working closely with senior leadership to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and continued growth of the Legal Services Team Managing, supervising and mentoring a large population of paralegals, ensuring high performance and professional development Overseeing workflow allocation, resource planning and incoming instructions to optimise productivity and client service delivery Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting business development initiatives Driving operational excellence, including compliance, financial performance, and quality assurance across all workstreams Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of team members

About you:

Experienced in managing and supervising junior legal professionals within a corporate or commercial environment Strong client focus with a proven commitment to delivering high-quality legal services Commercially aware with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international setting Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop large teams Ideally a qualified solicitor with an international commercial background (private practice or in-house), but will consider non-qualified candidates with a suitable background.
