Your new role This firm is looking to appoint a Legal Director to strengthen our Regulatory Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) team. This role involves advising individuals and organisations facing criminal investigations and regulatory scrutiny, including: Corporate and gross negligence manslaughter Health and safety, fire safety, food safety, and environmental breaches Product safety and compliance Inquests and public enquiries. You will work on a varied caseload, providing both contentious and non-contentious advice, and contribute to business development and client relationship management. Key responsibilities
Manage a diverse portfolio of regulatory matters Act as a key contact for clients, ensuring high standards of service Prepare PACE submissions, conduct witness interviews, and advise on compliance Support business development through pitches, presentations, and training Maintain accurate file management and reporting Stay current with legal developments and CPD requirements What you'll need to succeed Minimum 10 years PQE in regulatory or commercial law (ideally qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales). Strong experience in HSE/Police investigations, inquests, and regulatory prosecutions Knowledge of environmental, product, food, and fire safety laws is advantageous.
