Legal Counsel

Salary: £80,000 to £100,000

Location: London, hybrid 2 days per week

Contract: Full time, permanent

A major UK player in the financial services space is looking for a Legal Counsel to join a high performing commercial legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who wants genuine influence, broad exposure and the chance to shape legal support in a fast scaling, regulated environment.

You’ll be joining a business that handles complex commercial, tech and supplier arrangements at volume, works closely with regulators and is investing heavily in its growth and governance journey. If you want an FS role with purpose as well as pace, this is it.

What you will take on

• High value commercial contracts across tech, data, suppliers and operations

• Procurement and outsourcing arrangements that underpin key FS processes

• Daily partnering with commercial, product, operational and leadership teams

• Supporting the business on risk, regulatory considerations and governance

• Project based work in a regulated environment where no two days look the same

What they are looking for

• 3 to 5 PQE

• Strong commercial contracts background

• Experience in financial services, fintech, insurance or another regulated sector

• Tech, data or procurement exposure is ideal

• Confident advising the business in a fast moving, change oriented setting
