The Role

The company is seeking a capable and motivated junior lawyer to join its expanding Legal team. Based in London, Oxford, or Cambridge, the successful candidate will support a wide range of legal matters across both UK and US operations. This is a dynamic and varied role, primarily focused on commercial legal work, with opportunities to broaden your scope as the business continues to grow.

This position is ideal for someone eager to take ownership of day-to-day legal responsibilities, with guidance and support from experienced colleagues.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts
  • Provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders
  • Navigate emerging legal issues in a fast-evolving sector


Essential Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in England or the US, with a minimum of one year post-qualification experience (or equivalent)
  • Solid experience in commercial contracting
  • Adaptable and proactive approach
  • Strong team orientation
  • High standards of professionalism and integrity
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace


Desirable Attributes

  • Training at a top-tier law firm
  • In-house experience, ideally within life sciences, healthcare, technology, or a venture-backed scale-up
  • Willingness to expand into new areas over time, such as M&A, corporate governance, incentives, employment law, product development, and international expansion (with external support as needed)
