The Legal Counsel is responsible for working with the business to provide legal support to Amundi (UK) Limited and the European based investment teams (4 investment hubs) of the Amundi group. They are an important part of the approval process for new products/mandates and work on legal aspects required during the lifecycle of client relationships. They will be required to work independently as a contact for UK, certain capital markets issues and the local contact on specific topics. (i) Amundi (UK) Limited:
Assisting in providing general legal assistance and advice on a variety of legal issues relevant to the business, including with respect to front office, middle office, commercial teams, support functions and on corporate governance matters. Negotiation and review of various agreements and documents, e.g., investment management agreements, investment advisory agreements, confidentiality agreements, side letters, services agreements, certificates, powers of attorney, resolutions, etc. Local correspondent to centralised legal functions: distribution, institutional client services, capital markets, corporate, corporate development and/or certain specialised products. Assisting in the coordination or implementation of various legal projects, including of new regulations, as needed.
(ii) Capital Markets - Investments:
Conducting legal analysis and advising at the occurrence of specific events affecting existing investments (credit events, defaults, early redemptions, assignments, merger or restructuring events, participation in bondholder committees, etc.). Advising and negotiating complex derivatives on all major asset classes and other structured products documentation (TRS, Performance Swaps, Dynamic Equity Portfolio Swaps, structured repos, hybrid instruments) and complex collateral solutions (initial margin, pledge agreements, etc.). Assisting Portfolio Managers to access new instruments or markets comprising legal analysis of the market or instrument and negotiation of relevant documentation. Participating in internal or external working groups. Coordinating projects with external counsel and within the legal business line. Establishing template documentation and providing educational support to internal clients.
The role holder will adhere to FCA rules, SMCR rules and principles, conduct rules and the Firm's policies and procedures. Where appropriate, the role holder will seek guidance from the Head of Compliance. Preference will be given to candidates with appreciable experience from Asset Management Firms and/or major International Law Firms and with a UK attorney qualification. Key Attributes and Skills

Demonstrates good judgement, excellent communication and drafting skills and strong UK regulatory experience. Develops positive relationships with clients and colleagues and has a client‑orientated mindset.
