Position: Learning Support Assistant 
Location: Crookhey Hall School, Cockerham, Lancaster, LA2 0HA
Salary: £20,906.25 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

Start date: September 2025

After 6 weeks in post, you will qualify for the 4-day working week - work 4 days but get paid for 5 days!

The Opportunity

We’re looking for Learning Support Assistants who are committed, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people with complex SEMH needs.

As a key part of our team, you’ll:

• Work 1:1 with pupils to support their learning and development
• Assist in preparing and delivering engaging classroom and outdoor activities
• Respond to pupils’ emotional and physical needs with compassion and professionalism
• Play a central role in helping pupils overcome challenges and celebrate successes

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll need to bring:

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
• A Full UK Driving Licence (our rural location makes this essential)
• A flexible, caring and proactive approach to working with young people
• A strong sense of teamwork and willingness to get involved in all areas of school life
