About the Role
Long Term Futures is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for an independent specialist school located in Nottingham. The school supports children and young people aged 5 to 19 with autism and associated needs. With small class sizes and high staffing levels, the school provides a structured and supportive environment that promotes both academic learning and personal development. The curriculum is highly personalised, with a strong emphasis on communication, emotional wellbeing, practical life skills and therapeutic support.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups throughout the school day Helping students develop confidence, independence and positive routines Encouraging engagement in learning activities and supporting academic progress Supporting emotional regulation and implementing positive behaviour strategies Recording progress, wellbeing and key observations in line with school systems Providing personal care where requiredWhat We're Looking For
