Learning Support Assistant

Location: Caterham, Surrey Contract: Full-time from Tuesday 5th May 2026 End date: 17th July 2026

Tradewind Recruitment are supporting one of their partnership primary schools based near the Caterham area, on the border of Surrey /Croydon, with a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for a Year 1 pupil.

This is a beautiful, one-form-entry primary school based in Caterham which is part of a successful academy trust but holds a community feel within the local area. The school has a wonderful reputation in the area with parents and is a school reguarly requested by supply staff to return to.

The Role:

Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1

Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation

Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development

Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan

Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child

Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)

Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion

Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting ...
