Horizon Teachers are working with Primary school based in Camden, assisting in their search for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis from January 2026 until July 2026, on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a skilled and devoted team, working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need extra support to thrive - academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will work alongside teachers and TA's ensuring children are best supported in accordance with their needs.
The school is easily accessible via public transport and has outstanding learning and extracurricular facilities for their pupils. Whether you're experienced in SEN support or looking to gain more classroom experience on your path to teaching, this school offers an inclusive and nurturing environment where staff are genuinely valued.
About the Role as a Learning Support Assistant:
Supporting individual pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs. Working closely with class teachers to deliver tailored interventions. Helping pupils stay focused, engaged, and confident during lessons. Encouraging independence, inclusion, and a love of learning.
As a Learning Support Assistant - what do the school require from you?
Experience supporting children in Primary schools Previous experience supporting children with SEND is a bonus! A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning Confident in your ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to challenging situations Resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills A proactive attitude and team mindset
