SEN Teaching Assistant - Early Years ARP

Location: New Addington, CroydonStart Date: Summer TermContract: Full-time (Monday to Friday)Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

A supportive and well-resourced primary school in New Addington is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years ARP (Additionally Resourced Provision) from the Summer term.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils in Nursery and Reception who have a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASD) and speech and language difficulties. The provision is well-established within the school, with a strong team in place and clear structures to support both pupils and staff.

The role will involve providing tailored 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils to access learning, develop communication skills, and regulate their behaviour within a nurturing and structured environment.

The Role Will Involve:

• Supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting with early communication, phonics, and play-based learning
• Implementing EHCP targets and structured interventions
• Supporting with personal care where required
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children with SEN, ideally within Early Years
• Demonstrate a calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Be proactive and able to use initiative within a structured setting
• Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Be committed to supporting children's development both academically and socially
