Learning Support Assistant - Stafford - Start Date: As soon as possible.
Academics are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a thriving primary school in the heart of Stafford. As an individual you must be committed to providing every child exceptional learning opportunities in a fun and caring environment. You will be joining a school that is committed to teamwork, so it is essential that you work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and contribute positively to a supportive team environment. You will be working on a temporary basis, through Academics.

Whether that be day-to-day supply opportunities or shorter / longer roles within schools local to Stafford and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
* Work alongside teachers and fellow support staff to deliver fun sessions and activities to ensure the curriculum is accessed by all. * Managing behaviour and engaging learners with their own learning. * The ability to encourage independence, positive behaviour, and social interaction. * Working with learners either 1-1 or in small group settings. * Committed to support both the teacher and the students to succeed within the classroom.
For this role, applicants who apply must have:
* Previous experience of working with children in a primary school setting (in the UK). * Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum. * Confident communication skills and to be a excellent motivator committed to raising standards and achieving success for all (1-1 or small group support). * Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to support learners by utilising positive behaviour management strategies tailored to suit. * A good level of literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or Grade C and above/Functional Skills Level 2 in the minimum required). * A current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
Pay : £93 - £100 daily (dependent upon experience). Holiday pay is included on the day rate.
