Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Learning & Development Manager to lead the training and development strategy within a prestigious luxury hotel in Ascot Berkshire areas. This role is pivotal in ensuring all team members deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
You will design, implement, and continuously enhance learning initiatives that support employee growth, engagement, and operational excellence across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development Strategy

Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with the hotel's business goals
Identify training needs through performance reviews, guest feedback, and operational metrics
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Training Delivery

Design and deliver engaging training programs, including: Luxury service standards
Leadership and management development
Onboarding and induction programs
Compliance and statutory training

Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and team development activities

Talent Development

Support succession planning and career progression pathways
Coach and mentor department heads and supervisors
Implement leadership development programmes to build internal talent pipelines

Performance & Engagement

Work closely with HR and leadership teams to enhance employee engagement
Support performance management processes with training interventions
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs and feedback

Brand & Service Excellence

Ensure all training reflects the standards expected in a luxury hospitality environment
Champion a guest-centric culture across all departments
Drive consistency in service delivery and brand experience

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in a Learning & Development role, ideally within luxury hospitality
Strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest expectations
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Experience designing and implementing L&D frameworks and programmes
CIPD qualification (Level 3 or above) preferred
Highly organised with strong project management skills
