This role plays a key part in ensuring that all staff have access to high-quality training and professional learning that supports both individual growth and whole-school improvement.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders to identify development needs, coordinate training programmes, and help foster a strong culture of continuous professional learning.
Key Responsibilities for Learning and Development roles in Milton Keynes Secondary schools:
* Coordinate and deliver learning and development activities for teaching and support staff
* Identify training needs through performance reviews, school priorities, and statutory requirements
* Support the planning and delivery of CPD, INSET days, and induction programmes
* Maintain accurate records of training, qualifications, and compliance
* Support leadership in embedding a culture of professional growth and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate for Learning and Development roles in Milton Keynes Secondary Schools will have:
* Experience in learning and development, training, HR, or education (school-based experience desirable)
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* The ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate training effectively
* Confidence working with staff at all levels
* A commitment to inclusive practice and continuous improvement
* Knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and statutory training requirements (desirable)
