My client, a respected international law firm, is looking for a Learning and Development Assistant to join their L&D team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-organised and enthusiastic junior level HR professional, WITH PREVIOUS LAW FIRM EXPERIENCE who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about learning and professional development. The role supports the delivery of learning initiatives across the firm, working closely with the Head of L&D and the wider team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in coordinating training logistics, managing learning systems, and supporting firmwide projects from onboarding through to specialist development programmes.
This is an ideal opportunity for an Administrator level individual with a few years experience, looking to step up into an Learning and Development Assistant level role.
Salary: £33k-£36k depending on experience
Location: London (hybrid working available)
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee the coordination of internal and external training sessions, including sending invitations, arranging physical or virtual venues, tracking attendance, and gathering post-session feedback.
- Ensure learning events are delivered smoothly, with clear and timely communication shared with participants and relevant stakeholders across the business.
- Serve as the primary administrator for the firm's learning systems, including the LMS, handling user accounts, course registrations, content updates, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Manage compliance and onboarding training for new hires and returning staff, ensuring completion of induction modules within required timeframes.
- Support the planning and execution of firmwide learning initiatives, including knowledge briefings, legal competence reviews, and ESG-related questionnaires.
- Be the go-to contact for all training-related queries, collaborating with colleagues, managers, and external suppliers to resolve issues and maintain effective relationships.
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of structured learning programmes, including development academies and capability training for central business units.
- Take charge of programme logistics, coordinating with trainers, managing communications with delegates, and collecting and analysing feedback.
Candidate Profile:
This Learning and Development Assistant role is ideal for someone with experience in HR Adminstration, within a law firm environment. You’ll be highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities at once. A proactive and professional approach is essential, along with a genuine interest in people development and training.
You should be comfortable working with digital learning systems and familiar with platforms basic video editing, and eLearning tools would be advantageous.
