Lean Cart & Equipment Designer - SolidWorks/MasterCam software experience

Working knowledge of both SolidWorks and MasterCam software to design customer driven solutions for tooling organizational equipment, point of use stations and lean manufacturing carts. Basic understanding of mechanical interactions and weight distribution to design safe, ergonomical equipment and carts to hold, transfer and/or store parts, tools, subassemblies and fixtures primarily for aerospace industry. Attention to detail is particularly important and problem solving essential as the candidate will converse with customers to create a solution (cart or material handling equipment) for their challenges. Knowledge of 3-D hand-held scanner a plus but will train to be able to use 3-D scanner to scan parts and equipment for use in final solution. Primarily an office environment with frequent trips made to customer sites and advice/direction given to shop floor upon manufacturing and assembly.
