We’re hiring an experienced Lead Utilities Surveyor to join our expanding team.

This is a senior, hands-on position suited to someone who brings both strong technical expertise and proven leadership skills. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality utilities surveys in line with PAS 128 standards, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead utilities and topographical surveys using GPR, EML, and TPS/GNSS equipment
• Deliver and oversee surveys in compliance with PAS 128 standards
• Manage data capture and post-processing (AutoCAD 2D/3D, IQMaps, Geolitix)
• Supervise, support, and develop junior surveyors
• Oversee multiple live projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met
• Act as a key technical point of contact for clients on-site
• Contribute to project planning, logistics, and commercial inputs, including estimates

About You

• Extensive experience in utilities surveying
• Strong working knowledge of PAS 128 standards
• Proficient with GPR, EML, TPS, and GNSS equipment
• Skilled in AutoCAD (2D/3D)
• Experience in GPR data post-processing
• CSCS certified
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
• Full UK driving licence
