Lead Software Engineer / Developer (Java Low Latency) London / WFH to £190k+ Do you have expertise with low latency Java programming combined with technical / team leadership skills? You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on leadership role at the Investment Management arm of a global bank. As a Lead Software Engineer you will head up a small, globally distributed team responsible for writing production quality Java code used for pricing and hedging FX instruments and overseeing the algorithms' performance intraday. You'll remain hands-on with architecture, design and coding within a modern microservices environment, collaborating with the business and providing technical guidance, code reviews and 1-2-1s to develop the engineers in your team and ensure successful delivery. Location / WFH: You'll be based in the London office and have flexibility to work from home once a week. About you: You have a deep knowledge of Java including multithreading You have team leadership experience, including technical project leadership, code reviews, 1-2-1s, developing others You have experience in an Investment Management / Banking environment, any asset class is fine, although FX is preferred You have a strong appreciation of low latency systems and code optimisation to ensure speed You have excellent communication and collaboration skills You are degree educated in Computer Science or similar technical or numerate discipline What's in it for you: As a Lead Software Engineer you will receive a competitive package: Salary to £190k Bonus Pension One day work from home per week Continuous training and career progression opportunities Apply now
