Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Collaboration
Lead cross-cutting collaboration across teams to improve ways of working and maximise value delivery.
Act as a trusted advisor on service design approaches, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and user needs.
Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, understanding and optimising value streams.
Service Design Excellence
Define and implement a framework for effective service design, including methods, standards, and measurable outcomes.
Design services that are usable, accessible, and efficient, balancing organisational capabilities with user needs.
Champion consistency in service quality and standards across all touchpoints.
Value & Metrics
Establish clear metrics to demonstrate the impact and maturity of the service design practice.
Use evidence and insights to continuously improve services, optimising time to value and service efficiency.
Capability Development
Upskill colleagues in service design principles, tools, and methods.
Act as a mentor and coach to build service design capability and knowledge across the organisation.
Continuous Improvement
Promote innovation and new ways of working to enhance service delivery.
Collaborate with colleagues to embed best practices in service management and delivery.
Person Specification
Essential
Significant experience in service design, user experience, or service management roles.
Proven track record of leading service design initiatives across complex organisations.
Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, with the ability to translate them into practical services.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
Ability to define, track, and report on service metrics to measure impact.
Strong communication skills, able to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
