Lead Quantity Surveyor – North Lanarkshire
Up to £60,000 Excellent Benefits
We are currently seeking an experienced and commercially astute Lead Quantity Surveyor to join my clients growing team based in North Lanarkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in property maintenance or social housing maintenance to play a key role in delivering high-quality services across a dynamic portfolio.
The RoleAs a Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management of maintenance contracts, ensuring cost efficiency, value for money, and compliance with contractual obligations. You will work closely with operational teams and clients to support the successful delivery of projects and ongoing works.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all commercial aspects of maintenance and refurbishment contracts
Prepare, review, and manage budgets, forecasts, and final accounts
Administer subcontractor packages, including procurement, valuation, and payment
Ensure effective cost control and financial reporting
Interpret and apply Schedule of Rates, including NHF rates
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsAbout You
Proven experience in a Lead Quantity Surveyor or similar role
Strong background in property maintenance, reactive maintenance, or social housing contracts
Demonstrable experience working with Schedule of Rates (SOR), particularly NHF
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and financial management abilities
Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent experience)What We Offer
