Job Description
Lead QA Engineer | Cypress & Node.js | Building the Analytics Engine for Global Credit Investors
The Role
In this role, you will act as the senior quality voice across a fast-scaling analytics platform used by institutional credit investors worldwide. You’ll own the end-to-end testing strategy, shape QA standards across multiple engineering teams, and ensure quality is embedded into every stage of delivery.
You’ll work in a heavily automated environment, collaborating closely with engineers, data specialists, and product to improve both internal platforms and customer-facing tools. While you won’t carry a formal “manager” title, you will operate as the de facto QA lead — setting direction, influencing best practice, and raising the quality bar across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role with genuine scope to shape how QA operates in a business automating complex credit workflows at scale.
What They’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables)
10+ years QA / Test Engineering experience End-to-end node testing Agile delivery experience in modern engineering teams Automation-first mindset with deep hands-on capability Experience operating as a senior or lead QA figure across multiple teams Confidence coordinating testing activity and advocating for quality at an organisational level
What You’ll Work With
Cypress automation End-to-end testing using Node.js Functional testing Integration testing Data-heavy systems and analytics platforms CI-driven automated test tooling
Nice to Have
Unit test writing capability Experience reviewing or enforcing unit test coverage with engineers Exposure to financial markets or complex data products Background in bonds, loans, corporate credit, commodities, or pricing data
