Lead Project Engineer, £60,000 £65,000 + BMW Company Car + Benefits, 39-hour week Full-time, permanent role Monday to Thursday 8am5pm, Friday 8am1:30pm (some flexibility)Well-established, family-owned engineering business specialising in the design & manufacture of filtration systems for industrial and commercial clients. Strong reputation for improving factory efficiency, safety and environmental performance, supported by a hands-on and supportive leadership team.Your background as a Lead Project Engineer:Experience within contracts management, project management, or site planning.A commercially minded individual with a background in engineering, MUST BE within the same industry or similar (industrial equipment / dust extraction / filtration etc).Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) qualification such as P601 & P602 would be preferred.Ability to read engineering drawings and take accurate site measurement.Strong organisational and planning skills, able to manage multiple projects and prioritiesConfident communicating with customers, suppliers, and internal teamsA proactive, problem-solving mindset with a practical, hands-on approachLead Project Engineer responsibilities:Coordinate and manage projects from initial enquiry through to installation planningConduct site visits to assess access, take measurements, and review installation requirementsCheck access routes, workspace constraints, and health & safety considerations prior to installationConfirm installation schedules with customers and internal teamsEnsure all equipment, components, and materials are prepared and delivered on timeLiaise with suppliers and internal departments to keep projects on trackIdentify and resolve potential issues ahead of installation to ensure smooth deliveryAct as the main point of contact for customers during the planning and coordination phase.This Lead Project Engineer role will mainly cover the Midlands / Southwest / possibly parts of Wales.
