Job Description Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Leeds - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Healthcare
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading global facilities management provider, supporting a critical healthcare site in Leeds .
This role is ideal for a Senior Mechanical Engineer ready to take the technical lead on site, combining hands-on engineering with day-to-day leadership, compliance oversight and client interaction within a highly regulated healthcare environment.
Package:
\n Salary up to £37,000 per annum
\n
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
\n
25 days annual leave & bank holidays

Responsibilities:
\n Act as the Lead Mechanical Engineer on site, setting standards and providing technical direction to the engineering team
\n
Carry out and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical works
\n
Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, plumbing, pipework and plant equipment
\n
Provide hands-on support for complex or critical mechanical faults
\n
Ensure full compliance with health & safety, statutory and healthcare regulations
\n
Act as a key point of contact for the client, providing updates, reports and technical guidance
\n
Manage service documentation, permits to work, risk assessments and CMMS records
\n
Coordinate subcontractors and specialist service providers when required
\n
Requirements:
\n City & Guilds Level 3/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (essential)
\n
Minimum 3 years’ experience within building services or facilities maintenance
\n
Strong working knowledge of commercial mechanical systems (AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, boilers, etc.)
\n
Experience working within a commercial or healthcare FM environment
\n
Confident communicator with the ability to lead by example on site
\n
Solid understanding of H&S legislation and compliance standards
\n
