Our client are a leading manufacturer of plastics with sites across the UK, due to a continued drive for excellence they are seeking a lead installation engineer to join their Rutland site. This is a hands-on role that combines practical installation and commissioning work with project leadership responsibilities, including planning, documentation, and managing timings/schedules. You will play a key role in delivering new equipment projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Responsibilities – Lead Installation Engineer
Examine project briefs and assess their feasibility. Specify new equipment and seek out competitive quotations. Collaborate closely with suppliers on equipment design requirements and optimal solutions. Advise senior management on realistic costs, timescales, and resources needed to deliver specific projects. Manage projects end-to-end from inception through to successful handover to production, focusing on safety, cost control, time management, and quality. This position is not solely office-based and requires a proactive, hands-on approach to installation, commissioning, and problem-solving on the shop floor.
