Our client, a prominent name in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team in London. This permanent role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and manage electrical engineering projects and teams, being based at their Elephant and Castle office three days a week.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nUndertaking the CEM and/or CRE role\nDeputising for the Associate Director as required\nDeveloping design from feasibility up to As Built\nCarrying out design reviews and working to design assurance processes\nHelping to grow the team and developing its technical capability\nLeading and managing a small team of engineers\nMentoring others in CRE roles, and providing discipline training\nNurturing a 'get it right first time' culture within the team\nProducing and issuing progress reports\nPreparing and conducting presentations to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nDegree in Electrical Engineering\nMember of an engineering institute with Engineering Council Professional Registration\nExperience of undertaking the CEM/CRE/DPE role\nExperience in managing works in accordance with NR-L2-RSE-02009, Engineering Management of Projects\nExperience in rail station electrical services design and coordination\nComprehensive knowledge of British Standards and Rail Standards (e.g., Network Rail, HS2, TfL)\nAbility to deliver work to a programme and budget\nExcellent leadership skills and mentoring experience\nProficient in leading meetings and presenting to various stakeholders\nDeep understanding of electrical systems from technical, design, installation, buildability, and maintenance perspectives\nKnowledge of engineering software tools (e.g., Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or Relux)\nKnowledge of procurement activities and lead times\nRight to work in the UK\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary\nFlexible working arrangements\n27 days' annual leave, rising to 29 days + bank holidays\nAnnual Bonus (depending on level)\nPrivate medical insurance for you and your family\nLife Assurance and Bereavement Support Service\nCycle to work Scheme\nEye Care Vouchers with Specsavers\nTravel Loans\nMobile Phone Allowance\nHealthcare - Individual or family based on employee level\nWorkplace Nursery Scheme\nElectric Car Scheme\nTraining & Development\nIf you are a seasoned Electrical Engineer with expertise in the rail sector looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply now to join our client's ambitious team in London
