Are you an experienced Senior Buyer with experience in areas such as Facilities Management, Logistics & Warehousing, or International Logistics (freight forwarding and charter)?


If so, this could be the perfect opportunity to join our clients UK Site and Professional Services Procurement Team, where we lead procurement activity across Construction, Facilities Management, and Professional Services for the business.


Role Responsibilities:

Provide support to the FM & Construction procurement strategy with duties consisting but not limited too:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to guide procurement strategy, manage sourcing activities, and plan tender programmes in collaboration with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Lead and support competitive tender processes, including building Request for Proposal (RFP) packs, managing sourcing events through the Ivalua e-procurement platform, and ensuring adherence to the Indirect Procurement process through Procurement Gate Reviews.
  • Drive commercial value by identifying savings opportunities, capturing and reporting procurement savings, and leading supplier negotiations to optimise cost, delivery, and service quality.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contracts, including initial negotiation of key contract clauses, ensuring suppliers effectively meet internal customer requirements.
  • Build strong cross functional relationships with teams including Facilities Management, Security, SHE (Safety, Health & Environment), and International Facilities, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and procurement best practice.


What we're looking for from you:

  • Someone who understands any aspect of FM and construction procurement, Contract negotiation and utilisation.
  • Significant practical experience, vocational or academic qualifications
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Proactive approach / self-starter and able to work under pressure and independently and as a team player
  • Pragmatic approach to problems & issues
  • Good commercial experience of contract terms of FM and other service contracts.
  • Experience is international freight forwarding (including charter flights) is desirable but not essential
