Lead Building Services Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Building Services Engineers to join our team on a high-profile static site.
This role combines hands-on engineering duties with team leadership, client liaison, statutory compliance, and ensuring safe, efficient, reliable site operations.
Key Responsibilities
To manage and carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on Mechanical and electrical systems. Fault find and repair building services systems including LV, HVAC, and associated plant. To manage and undertake minor works including lamping, basic plumbing repairs, and component replacements Lead and support a team of engineers on site, ensuring works are completed to a high standard, providing day-to-day direction, mentoring, and performance oversight Review and complete RAMS, ensuring all works are carried out safely Ensure all engineering activities meet statutory and site compliance requirements Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions where required Act as the client's main point of contact on site for progress, technical issues and escalations. Proven experience in a Lead Engineer / Supervisor role within Building Services Strong administrative and organisational skills. Strong hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems maintenance Experience carrying out PPMs, reactive maintenance, and fault finding Good understanding of statutory compliance and safe systems of work Ability to lead engineers while remaining actively involved in day-to-day engineering tasks Experience completing and reviewing RAMS Strong client-facing and communication skillsLead Building Services Engineer: - Up to £55,000 basic + Holiday + Benefits Contact Nikki at Tech-People (phone number removed) the specialist recruitment agency and business within HVAC, M&E and Utilities
