Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, scheduling, and operational readiness of all charter, management, and sales aircraft. The role requires active coordination with the service department, direct supervision of a small technician team, and compliance with FAA and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, schedule, and coordinate cleaning for all charter, management, and sales aircraft.
Track and manage all squawks, maintenance tasks, and inspection statuses.
Coordinate required maintenance actions with the internal service department.
Ensure compliance with Skytech’s Repair Station Manual and FAA regulations.
Communicate with aircraft manufacturer technical support as necessary.
Conduct pre- and post-inspection engine run-ups; troubleshoot and validate issues before return to service.
Review maintenance forms and work orders to ensure proper completion and documentation.
Supervise a team of 3–4 technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
Accurately document training and ensure procedures are followed consistently.
Review completed work orders for accuracy and completeness.
Manage team expenditures and submit timely expense reports.
Work closely with the Director of Maintenance (DOM) to coordinate maintenance around flight schedules, optimizing aircraft availability.
Ensure sales aircraft are clean, serviceable, and demo-ready at all times—including tire pressure, battery charge, navigation database updates, and regular exercising.
Promote company policies and a collaborative team culture.
Conduct scheduled reviews of team members and support career development.
Be available for overtime or off-site work as needed.
Provide own professional-quality tools and toolbox to complete tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
Current Inspection Authorization (IA)
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Certified Repair Station
Proficient in basic computer skills and typing
Supervisory experience strongly
