Job Type: Full time, permanent.

Salary: £13.18 per hour, increasing to £13.64 after 6 months and £14.70 after 24 months.

Hours: Rotating Days 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Tube Laser Operative on behalf of our client, a UK leading steel stockholder and processor. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tube laser cutting machinery, handling materials, and ensuring efficient workflow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing or engineering who thrives in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate overhead gantry cranes via radio remote/pendant control to load materials for laser cutting. Process lengths of steel with precision according to instructions. Safely store processed materials in designated areas for easy accessibility. Drive and operate mobile plant equipment such as forklift trucks, side-trackers, and road-based vehicles for loading and transportation. Pick items for the laser to ensure continuous workflow and maximize laser capacity. Unload material and prepare warehouse for incoming loads.
