Humber Carbon Capture Pipeline (HCCP) Project
Locations: Teesside with regular travel to the Humber and UK sites

Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) is at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition, delivering critical infrastructure to enable carbon capture and storage at scale. The Humber Carbon Capture Pipeline (HCCP) is a nationally significant project that will underpin decarbonisation across one of the UK’s most important industrial regions.
The Role
NEP is seeking an experienced Land Manager to play a pivotal leadership role in the delivery of the HCCP Project. Reporting to the Onshore Humber Project Manager, you will be a core member of the project leadership team, responsible for developing and executing the land use and acquisition strategy required to support a Development Consent Order (DCO) submission planned for early 2027.
You will lead the delivery of land agreements across approximately 800 land parcels, working closely with the Consents, Land Agent, and wider project teams to ensure successful, timely and compliant land acquisition.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the land use and acquisition strategy for the HCCP Project
Oversee and performance-manage negotiations for land agreements, including purchases, easements, licences, compounds, crossings and leases
Manage Protective Provisions, Heads of Terms, side agreements and land access arrangements
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, statutory bodies, local authorities and internal stakeholders
Provide strategic direction and oversight to project land agents and third-party advisors
Own and manage land-related risks, ensuring robust mitigation and clear communication
Establish and implement effective governance, workflows and controls to ensure high-quality delivery
What We’re Looking For
Strong commercial acumen with extensive land and negotiation experience
Proven track record delivering land acquisition on major UK infrastructure projects
Ability to lead, influence and collaborate across complex stakeholder environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional, inclusive leadership style aligned to NEP’s values
Desirable
In-depth knowledge of DCO and CPO processes and associated legislation
Experience managing land agents and third-party consultants
Strong presentation and reporting capability
Professional accreditation (RICS or similar)
