Are you an experienced lands and planning professional with a passion for land and mineral resource management? Join our multi-disciplinary Land & Mineral Resources (LMR) team and play a pivotal role in managing and developing our property and mineral assets across the UK.
About the Role
AsLands & Planning Manager, you’ll provide expert support across all UK business divisions, ensuring our land, mineral, and property interests are managed efficiently and cost-effectively. You’ll lead on planning and permitting matters, helping secure the resources and permissions needed to operate our business sustainably and successfully.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Heidelberg Materials UK’s property and mineral assets within a designated region
- Provide professional advice on land, mineral, and planning/permitting issues
- Support the procurement of land and mineral reserves with the necessary operational permits
- Collaborate with internal teams on restoration, aftercare, quarry design, and geotechnical matters
- Contribute to strategic planning and ensure alignment with business goals
- Lead the acquisition and disposal of land, property, and mineral reserves
- Secure and manage planning permissions and operational permits
- Provide expert advice on land, mineral, and planning matters across business divisions
- Liaise with operational teams to deliver timely and effective support
- Represent the company with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Manage project budgets and ensure alignment with company strategy
- Maintain accurate property records and systems (including SAP and GIS tools)
- Ensure compliance with competition legislation and internal policies
- Support restoration, aftercare, and geotechnical planning as needed
Education/Qualification
- BSc (Hons) or equivalent in property / minerals estates management / mineral resource planning or related disciplines relative to LMR activities at this level.
- Chartered Surveyor or equivalent professional qualification from a relevant corporate body.
