This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is looking to gain valuable experience within a professional automotive environment.Working as part of a skilled team, you will play an important supporting role in ensuring vehicle inspections are carried out safely, efficiently, and to high standards.The RoleAs a Workshop Labourer, you will assist Vehicle Examiners during inspections and testing procedures.Your duties will include:Supporting Vehicle Examiners by operating vehicle controls such as lights, indicators, steering, brakes, and other systems as directedAssisting with positioning vehicles safely on ramps and within designated inspection areasWorking at slight heights while vehicles are raisedCarrying out general workshop housekeeping to maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free environmentMoving vehicles within the workshop and yard (driving licence required)Following all health and safety procedures at all timesCommunicating clearly with examiners and supervisors to ensure smooth workflowDemonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn about vehicle systems, workshop processes, and safety standardsThis is a physically active role suited to someone who is comfortable working on their feet and in a fast-paced workshop setting.To be successful in this role, you should have:A full, valid UK driving licence (essential)Confidence manoeuvring different types of vehicles safelyComfort working at slight heights and around vehicle rampsGood communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefullyA strong awareness of workplace safetyReliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethicAn interest in motor vehicles or basic mechanical knowledge (desirable but not essential)Previous workshop or labouring experience would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.What Youll GainHands-on experience in a professional vehicle examination environmentThe opportunity to work alongside experienced automotive professionalsA supportive and safety-focused team cultureOngoing temporary work with consistent hoursA potential pathway into longer-term automotive or fleet-based rolesIf you are dependable, eager to learn, and ready to play a key role in a busy workshop, we would love to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
