Lab assistant / Administrator job opportunity for a growing animal feed manufacturer based in the East Yorkshire area.
Company: Leading producer of animal feeds which has seen rapid growth in the last few years, now looking to establish itself as a leader in quality within this sector.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Duration: Permanent
Salary: Up to £28k dependent on skills and experience.
Job role:
Your time will be split 50:50 across the Office and laboratory functions, providing admin support and customer service along with laboratory sample preparation and general housekeeping.
You will be involved in:

Entering customer orders onto the database and generating batch numbers.
*
Creating and printing order labels.
*
Answering customer queries over the phone or via email.
*
Checking incoming and outgoing lorries for weight using the weighbridge.
*
Sample preparation (including meat products) in the laboratory.
*
General housekeeping of the Laboratory.
*
Longer term - the opportunity to test lab samples.
What do you need to be considered?
You will need:
*
Previous customer service and administration experience.
*
Experience working in a laboratory would be preferable (but not essential)
*
Working knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook.
*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*
Flexible approach to working across office and laboratory environments.
