Position: Key Stage 3 (KS3) Teacher
Location: Wandsworth
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS3 Teacher to join our specialist school in Wandsworth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about working with students who have special educational needs and making a positive impact on their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that meet the individual needs of KS3 students with special educational needs.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff.
- Provide tailored support to students in both small group and one-to-one settings.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students feel supported and valued.
- Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure continued development and success.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Collaborate with other staff to deliver a cohesive and holistic approach to SEN education.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching KS3 students, preferably with special educational needs.
- A strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and the ability to differentiate effectively.
- A compassionate, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
