Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant (SEND Experience)

Pay Range: £95 – £117.60 per day

ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southwark seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant with SEND experience to join their team from an immediate start. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 2, including those with additional needs, within a supportive and well-structured environment.

The school is known for its strong inclusive ethos and collaborative staff culture, creating an environment where support staff can make a meaningful impact on both academic progress and pupil wellbeing.

This KS2 Teaching Assistant role in Southwark would suit experienced Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants with a strong background in SEND who are confident supporting pupils across upper primary.

Key Responsibilities of KS2 Teaching Assistant:

Support pupils across Key Stage 2, including those with SEND, on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities.

Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement.

Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development.

Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have a relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) or a degree.

Have proven experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting (essential).

Demonstrate strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice.

Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement.

Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff and families.
