ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Qualified and Experienced Year 2 Teacher for a welcoming, well‑led Primary School in Bristol. The school has a supportive staffing structure and a strong focus on staff development. This position is initially offered on a long‑term basis, with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bristol Position: Year 2 Classroom Teacher Type: Full‑Time (Monday-Friday) Pay Rate: £130 - £180 per day Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - mandatory Strong experience teaching in UK Primary Schools, ideally within KS1 / Year 2 A solid understanding of Year 2 curriculum expectations, including phonics, SATs preparation, and early literacy/maths development Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (within the last 12 months - Prospero can provide this) Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism and Speech & Language needs Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills Experience in pastoral care or health‑care‑linked settings is desirable but not essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE WITH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (on the Update Service) OR be willing to apply for a new one Be able to provide references covering at least the last 24 months of employment, including one from your most recent school Have strong English language skills
