JOB TITLE - Year 2 TeacherABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Qualified and Experienced Year 2 Teacher for a welcoming, well-led Primary School in Bristol.The school has a supportive staffing structure and a strong focus on staff development. With ongoing CPD opportunities throughout the academic year, this is a great environment for an experienced practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching.

This position is initially offered on a long-term basis, with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

• Location: Bristol
• Position: Year 2 Classroom Teacher
• Type: Full-Time (Monday-Friday)
• Pay Rate: £130 - £180 per day
• Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - mandatory
• Strong experience teaching in UK Primary Schools, ideally within KS1 / Year 2
• A solid understanding of Year 2 curriculum expectations, including phonics, SATs preparation, and early literacy/maths development
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (within the last 12 months - Prospero can provide this)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism and Speech & Language needs
• Excellent communication and classroom-management skills
• Experience in pastoral care or health-care-linked settings is desirable but not essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE WITH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (on the Update Service) OR be willing to apply for a new one
• Be able to provide references covering at least the last 24 months of employment, including one from your most recent school
• Have strong English language skills
