Your new company
Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a two-form entry primary school in Chester that require a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support a new pupil in the Year 4 class on a 1:1 basis after the Easter break. This pupil has recently joined the school and has ASD.
Your new role
This is an extremely supportive and welcoming school with an extremely understanding SLT that require a 1:1 teaching assistant to support a year 4 pupil with SEN. This pupil has an ECHP in place with an ASD diagnosis and struggles with regulation. You will be this pupils main point of contact throughout the school day, meeting them at the gate and walking them to their grown-up at the end of the day. You will offer comprehensive support throughout the day, tailoring your approach to adapt routine and suit their emotional response.
What you need to succeed
Full “Right to Work” in the UK
Referenceable experience as a teaching assistant within the last 2-years
Experience working with SEN is advantageous (ASD is preferred)
Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
