Supply Heroes are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and welcoming school in the Aston area for a confident and reliable KS1 Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2026 through to July 2027, with the potential to become a permanent member of staff.

This role is ideal for a strong candidate who has previous classroom experience and is considering a future career in teaching, including those looking to begin their ECT journey.

The Role

As a KS1 Cover Supervisor, you will:

* Deliver pre-planned lessons to Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils in the absence of the class teacher

* Maintain a positive and structured learning environment

* Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies

* Support pupils with their learning and development

* Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement

* Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times

* Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Have previous experience working in a school setting (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, or similar)

* Be confident managing a classroom independently

* Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum

* Be considering a future in teaching or preparing to start as an ECT

* Have excellent communication and behaviour management skills

* Be reliable, proactive, and professional

* Be able to commit to the full academic year (September 2026 – July 2027)
