About the Role

As a Kitchen Porter for the Bamford Collection, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised working environment across all kitchens and back‑of‑house areas.

Working in a fast‑paced and dynamic setting, you will ensure that all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are kept to the highest standards, enabling the chefs to deliver exceptional food and service. You will need to be proactive and reliable individual with strong stamina, a positive attitude, with the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils and ensure they are returned to service promptly.
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors, and walls before and after service according to hygiene standards.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly stored and maintained after service.
  • Organise and maintain storeroom for easy access and efficiency.
  • Adhere to cleaning rotas and schedules consistently.
  • Remove and manage waste, including recycling, in line with sustainability and health & safety standards.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy periods by assisting with basic prep tasks as required.
  • Comply with all health & safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Skills You Will Bring

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Professional personal presentation and communication skills in English.
