Junior Solar Designer

Location: Wadebridge, Cornwall Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 Permanent

About the Role

ARM is recruiting on behalf of a well-established renewable energy organisation for a Junior Solar Designer & Commercial Assistant to join an expanding team.

This is a great opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in the design and delivery of commercial solar PV projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Design and cost commercial solar PV systems with technical support Support delivery of projects alongside the commercial team Conduct site visits, including drone and electrical surveys Produce system models using PVSOL (or similar software) Assist with grid connection applications Prepare designs, reports, and proposals

Essential Requirements

Methodical, accurate, and process-driven approach Strong communication and organisational skills Good level of computer literacy Full UK driving licence Flexibility to travel and work across the UK Experience in renewables or relevant academic background Experience with solar design software (e.g. PVSOL, PVsyst)

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

Experience designing solar PV systems Familiarity with drone surveys Understanding of PV components CAD experience
