Job Description
Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Within 1 hour of West Thurrock / South Side of the River
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (DOE)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction and groundworks contractor. This role is ideal for individuals early in their QS career who are looking for hands-on project exposure, stability, and a clear pathway for progression.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and managing project cost estimates, valuations, and commercial reports
Support senior QS staff with measurements, BOQs, and site assessments
Monitor project costs, variations, and commercial performance
Assist in subcontract procurement, package management, and payment processes
Maintain accurate documentation and commercial records
Participate in site visits and liaise with site teams as required
Requirements
Ideally some QS experience or understanding of groundworks/civil engineering
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or similar
Strong numeracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail
Good communicator with a willingness to learn
Must be based within 1 hour of West Thurrock
