Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our fast-paced project delivery team within a Managed Service Provider (MSP). In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of IT infrastructure, connectivity, and digital transformation projects. You’ll manage tasks across technical teams, suppliers, and customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a couple of years’ project experience who is confident working independently and keen to develop further within a dynamic technology-led environment.
Key Accountabilities
Project Coordination & Support
* Take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and delivery of connectivity projects, including broadband, fibre, leased lines, SD-WAN, and other managed network services.
* Manage tasks across internal engineering teams, field engineers, provisioning teams, and third-party suppliers to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation including delivery plans, risk logs, task trackers, and provisioning schedules.
* Independently track project timelines and proactively manage dependencies such as site readiness, circuit delivery dates, or customer change requests.
Stakeholder Communication
* Serve as the central point of contact for all project-related communications with internal stakeholders, clients, and third-party vendors.
* Provide regular and structured updates to stakeholders through status reports, progress emails, and calls – ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
* Organise and lead project meetings, including service delivery updates, technical readiness discussions, and post-implementation reviews.
* Ensure that customer expectations are managed effectively and any risks or delays are communicated with proposed resolutions.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
* Use project management and MSP toolsets (e.g. Smartsheet, or equivalent) to monitor and update project progress in real time.
* Track provisioning orders, delivery lead times, and installation tasks to ensure accurate visibility of project status across multiple stakeholders and systems.
* Identify and log risks or issues affecting delivery, take ownership of resolution paths, and escalate only where necessary. · Monitor budget allocations and project costs where applicable, flagging variances and working with relevant teams to ensure cost-effective delivery.
* Ensure that all documentation and technical detail is captured for handover to Service Operations, supporting a smooth transition to business-as-usual support.
Learning & Development
* Take proactive steps to build knowledge of connectivity solutions and the project delivery lifecycle across broadband, fibre, WAN, and cloud-integrated services.
* Contribute to internal process improvements, suggesting ways to streamline delivery activities or enhance customer satisfaction.
* Participate in lessons learned sessions to improve future project execution and reduce repeat issues.
About you:
Essential
* Some experience in project management or coordination or administration, ideally in a technology or MSP environment.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Excel). · Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
* A genuine interest in IT services, networks, and service delivery.
Desirable
* Exposure to or knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, ITIL).
* Familiarity with MSP services including connectivity, cloud, or IT support.
* Experience using project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Monday, or similar).
