Junior Service Engineer - Fire & Security (Entry Level)\n\nLocation: London & Surrounding Areas\n Salary: £25,000 - £32,000\n Job Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nI am representing an excellent opportunity on behalf of my client, who is looking to bring an enthusiastic Junior Service Engineer into the Fire & Security industry. This role is ideal for someone who is new to fire & security but has a practical background and wants strong training, development, and a long-term career path..\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will work alongside experienced Engineers, supporting with the servicing and maintenance of:\n\nFire Alarm Systems\n\nIntruder Alarms\n\nCCTV\n\nAccess Control Systems\n\nThis hands-on position provides strong foundations for progressing into a fully qualified Service Engineer role.\n\nTraining & Development\n\nMy client provides an outstanding training programme, including:\n\nFull in-house training with senior engineers\n\nManufacturer training on leading fire & security systems\n\nFIA fire alarm training modules\n\nIP CCTV, networking and access control courses\n\nOngoing mentoring, toolbox talks & skill development\n\nA clear route to becoming a fully qualified engineer\n\nThis is an exceptional entry point for someone serious about building a career in Fire & Security.\n\nDesirable Background (Not Essential)\n\nThe client is open to applicants entering the industry, but the following experience is highly advantageous:\n\nElectrical Improver / Electrician experience\n\n1st fix / 2nd fix experience\n\nCable pulling, routing & terminations\n\nPatch panel / patching experience\n\nCAT5/CAT6 knowledge & basic networking\n\nGeneral data cabling\n\nConfident with hand & power tools\n\nExperience with trunking, tray, conduit & basket installations\n\nECS/CSCS card\n\nIPAF / PASMA certifications\n\nAll of these skills transfer extremely well into Fire & Security.\n\nDay-to-Day Responsibilities\n\nSupport senior engineers with servicing & maintenance\n\nAssist with system testing, inspections & compliance\n\nHelp with basic fault-finding\n\nCarry out cabling & installation preparation\n\nComplete simple service reports\n\nTravel across London and surrounding areas (vehicle provided after training)\n\nWhat's on Offer?\n\n£25,000-£32,000 starting salary\n\nFull training and qualification support\n\nCompany vehicle (post-training), tools, uniform & PPE\n\nOvertime opportunities as skills develop\n\n25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\nClear progression to Service Engineer, Senior Engineer & Specialist roles\n\nReady to take your first step into Fire & Security?\n\nApply today.\n\nAlecto Recruitment Ltd is acting as an employment business for this vacancy.
