Junior Finance Director
Hybrid / Flexible work | 3 Days in Office per week
Office based in Maidenhead, Berkshire | Next to Train Station
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 + review (dependent on experience level)
We are currently recruiting for a hands‑on, highly organised Junior Finance Director to take ownership of day‑to‑day finance while providing confident direction and commercial insight as we scale our event technology agency and roll out our SaaS platform. This is a genuine progression role, with a clear pathway to Full Finance Director within 18–36 months, based on performance and company growth.
What you’ll do
- Own financial operations: management accounts, cash flow, budgeting & forecasting
- Put strong financial controls and processes in place
- Support leadership with financial insight, modelling, and decision‑making
- Build scalable finance systems suitable for a growing SaaS business
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close, liaising with external accountants and advisors
- Oversee revenue recognition and SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, churn)
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards to track performance against KPIs
- Support fundraising, investor reporting, and board‑level financial materials
- Continuously improve financial efficiency, identifying cost‑saving and margin‑improvement opportunities
What we’re looking for
- Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong hands‑on finance experience (SaaS / tech / high‑growth ideal)
- Highly organised, confident, and commercially minded
- Comfortable giving direction and working closely with founders
- Proficiency in financial planning and managing organisational budgets
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and reporting practices
- Possess advanced analytical skills and expertise in finance
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience in technology or event management industries is advantageous
Potential Progression
- Promotion to Finance Director within 18–36 months
- Target FD salary: £90k–£100k+, plus enhanced equity
