Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team full-time at our Birmingham office. The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project specifications, collaborating with the design team, and managing budgets to support the successful completion of design and build projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting designs and blueprints, sourcing cost estimates, liaising with suppliers and vendors, and maintaining project documentation to ensure alignment with project timelines and financial goals.

As well as being able to deliver the points below we ONLY want someone who has a true thirst for development, wants to achieve quality and is motivated to make their mark on the business. We want someone who can collaborate across departments, is great with people and instils the passion that we have for every project. This is a Birmingham based role, but as we have projects across the UK this will require travel.

Person Specification Qualifications And Experience:

Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning Strong understanding of MS Excel with demonstrable practical experience of using MS Excel to price projects. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret blueprints, project drawings, and technical documents Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for work with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders IT literate with the ability to use and develop these skills to the full. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines Strong knowledge of construction, interior design, or related industries Previous experience in an estimating or project support role within the UK Understanding of commercial terms and conditions and the impact they would have upon project delivery. Adaptability to succeed within a fast growing company Keen to develop and grow within the Estimator role, taking on additional supervisory and managerial responsibilities and duties.
