You will ensure value for money, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies while supporting operational and strategic objectives.This role requires a commercially minded and analytical individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to decision-making. You will be highly organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Reward2 days working from home, 3 days in the officeMonday to Friday, 9 am 5:30 pm, 1hr Lunch break25 days holiday plus bank holidaysBonus schemeDental and Optical careHealthcare cash planFree parkingJob Role:Researching, assessing, and prioritising both internal and external stakeholders' requirements to ensure expectations are metCommunicating to internal stakeholders on procurement and supply mattersDelivering customer service and stakeholder satisfaction for procurement and providing continuous improvementMitigating risk through secondary supply optionsEvaluating potential supplier commercial capabilitiesNegotiating with suppliers to promote effective procurementEnsuring compliance with legislation and regulations for supplies from international sourcesWorking closely with key vendors to develop clear objectives and strategies.Defining and agreeing upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess quality, performance, cost, and delivery with suppliersEvaluating data from KPIs to make considerations for procurement and take action to improve supplier performanceEvaluating historical and forecasted data to help formulate replenishment options and make recommendations to achieve optimum serviceabilityTaking action to reduce waste whilst mitigating any negative impact on service levelsContributing towards strategic long-term inventory planning and budgetSkills and experience:Computer literate in IT skills, Microsoft Office SuiteMinimum one year of experience working within procurement for a B2B or industrial distribution businessExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOrganisational skills and attention to detailCustomer service and problem-solvingPlease note: We do not contact or write to unsuccessful candidates.
