Junior Business Development Representative

Salary: £33,000–£35,000 base (DOE) + 2% commission on outbound business personally generated OTE £50k

Location: London, Battersea

Reporting to: Sales Manager

Role Overview

Paragon is seeking a motivated, commercially minded Junior Business Development Representative to support and accelerate the growth of its sales pipeline.

This role is proactive and development-focused, with a clear expectation that the successful candidate will contribute directly to new business generation. You will be responsible for outbound prospecting, reactivating dormant opportunities, and qualifying inbound enquiries, working closely with the Sales Manager to convert interest into live projects.

Importantly, Paragon has thousands of existing trade accounts and past clients across architecture, interior design, and hospitality. This represents a substantial opportunity for structured lead reactivation, relationship renewal, and repeat project generation. A core part of the role is to systematically unlock value from this existing network, alongside developing new outbound opportunities.

The role offers structured progression for someone looking to build a career in Business Development within the luxury design, architecture, and hospitality sectors.


Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Outreach

  • Identify and research target architects, interior designers, developers, and hospitality groups
  • Execute proactive outbound outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Generate and qualify new outbound opportunities, eligible for commission
  • Build early-stage relationships that progress into meetings, showroom visits, and project opportunities


Lead Reactivation & Pipeline Recovery

  • Own the systematic reactivation of dormant, paused, or previously unconverted leads
  • Review historic enquiries, past showroom visits, and inactive opportunities
  • Re-qualify timelines, budgets, and decision-makers
  • Progress reactivated leads back into the active sales pipeline with clear next steps


Inbound Lead Qualification

  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound enquiries
  • Qualify prospects against agreed criteria (project scope, timing, budget, and brand fit)
  • Progress high-quality opportunities into discovery calls or showroom visits
  • Ensure clear, commercial handovers to the Sales Manager


Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records
  • Ensure all active leads have defined next actions and ownership
  • Track conversion performance across outbound, inbound, and reactivated opportunities
  • Provide clear visibility of pipeline health and activity


Showroom & Meeting Coordination

  • Proactively invite and schedule architects, designers, and hospitality clients to the showroom
  • Coordinate diaries, confirmations, and pre-meeting preparation
  • Support a premium client experience aligned with the Paragon brand
  • Monitor conversion from showroom visit to proposal and project


Key Performance Indicators

  • Outbound leads generated
  • Revenue from outbound business 
  • Reactivated leads 
  • Discovery calls and meetings booked
  • Showroom appointments booked
  • Lead response time
  • Showroom-to-proposal conversion rate


KPIs are reviewed monthly and inform performance development and career progression.


Skills & ExperienceEssential

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and premium clients
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple workstreams
  • Commercially curious with an interest in sales and business development
  • High attention to detail, particularly in CRM management and handovers


Desirable

  • Experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, or other client-facing roles
  • Exposure to luxury brands, design, architecture, or hospitality environments
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
