JOB BAND: C
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Part Time for 14 hours per week - Thrusday and Friday each week.
DEPARTMENT: Radio Suffolk
LOCATION: Ipswich
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £27,600 - £33,900 pro rata, per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

BBC Radio Suffolk is looking for a great journalist with sharp writing skills and strong editorial judgement to work as part of breakfast team. You will help shape the daily news agenda by identifying and setting up agenda setting stories for our flagship BBC Radio Suffolk breakfast programme, ensuring our coverage reflects the stories that matter in Suffolk and drives the conversation across the county. You'll work closely with the breakfast presenter - supporting them with strong stories, effective briefing and ideas that both provoke an opinion and bring a smile. You'll be adept at responding to breaking news, generating original journalism and collaborating with colleagues to ensure compelling, creative and relatable output for our audiences.
