Job Description
Freelance Project Manager – Specialist Joinery / Commercial Fit-Out
I'm currently representing a leading commercial fit-out contractor who are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a high-end specialist joinery package on a major project.
Role Overview:
The successful PM will take ownership of the full joinery package, ensuring seamless delivery from manufacture through to installation. You’ll work closely with design, production, site teams, and the client to ensure all elements are delivered to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the specialist joinery package across commercial fit-out environments
Oversee procurement, scheduling, production, logistics, and installation
Coordinate with design, QS, and workshop teams to resolve technical queries
Ensure quality standards, programme timelines, and health & safety compliance are met
Act as the primary point of contact for the client regarding joinery works
Manage subcontractors and monitor progress on site
What We’re Looking For:
Strong background delivering specialist joinery packages within commercial fit-out
Proven freelance/contract PM experience
Ability to read drawings, solve technical issues, and manage multiple stakeholders
Confident leading projects from pre-construction through to handover
Excellent organisational and communication skills
